José Ricardo Candanedo's family established their coffee farm in the 1960s, initially focusing on Criollo and Caturra varieties. In 2011, José and his sister Sueleny Sicilia made a significant shift in their production, introducing the geisha coffee variety. Today, their estate exclusively cultivates this highly sought-after coffee.

In 2019, Las Delicias Coffee Estate showcased its exceptional quality at the prestigious Best of Panama coffee competition. The estate's coffee received an impressive score of 92.25, securing the 8th position in the highly competitive Natural & Special Processes Geisha category.
