Juan Peña is the owner and operator at Hacienda La Papaya, an Ecuadorian coffee farm that is known throughout the world for their exceptional coffee and having been used at many Barista competitions.
The farm has a 250-year history, but more recently, in 2000, have moved towards growing typica and sidra varieties - a push towards coffee with better taste, aroma and variety. Juan believes you can have the best coffee in the world, but it also requires the best post-harvest processing.
This coffee has undergone a natural process, which contributes to its intense, floral and sweet cup profile. In the cup you'll find flavour notes of plum, cacao and blackberry.
